Ten Top…Interactive Shows to see at VAULT festival

Only two days to go until London’s biggest, boldest, bravest arts and entertainment festival returns to Waterloo!

With eight weeks of theatre and comedy, immersive experiences, cabaret, live performance and late night parties, there is a HUGE variety to choose from, so over the coming weeks, we’ll be breaking the shows down by category and shouting out some of the most anticipated performances to give you a flavour of what’s going on.

Having previously showcased some of the improv shows, we’re now highlighting some of the best Interactive performances; you know, those ones that get the audience really involved 😉

10. The Church of the Sturdy Virgin

The Church of the Sturdy Virgin is an immersive theatrical voyage into death. Our temple stands on unstable spiritual cross-roads; the final rites are yours to choose. For more info, click here.

9. Bring Them Home – An Immersive Game Experience

In this immersive game, an astronaut (one player) floats through space in a broken ship. The world’s space agencies (the remaining players) must co-operate to navigate them safely to Earth. For more info, click here.

8. Greyscale

Explore the minefields of dating in a post #metoo era. Who do we have faith in when one party believes it’s sexual misconduct, and the other, simply a bad date? For more info, click here.

7. Séance

Séance explores the psychology of a group of people who have been bombarded with suggestible material. It is an intense sonic performance for twenty people at a time. For more info, click here.

6. Counting Sheep

Based on Mark and Marichka Marczyks’ real life experiences during the Kiev Uprising, comes a reimagining of the revolutionary, award-winning, immersive theatrical experience, from the directors of Belarus Free Theatre. For more info, click here.

5. The 37th Question

1 couple. 36 questions. A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style story show. ‘A unique mixture of storytelling and comedy. For more info, click here.

4. Pope’s Addiction Clinic

An Alcoholics Anonymous style comedy show where comedians (and audience members) bear the fruit of confession. For more info, click here.

3. April

Chaos reigns. April (“Positive Thinking guru for the YouTube generation”) is here to help us take back control. Together, we can manifest something greater than ourselves. Follow her. For more info, click here.

2. Escape The Jacket

The Magician has escaped many things. But the one thing they can’t escape is their past. Water is rising, the audience is getting restless, free yourself before it’s too late! For more info, click here.


. RedHanded – Live

Hannah and Suruthi, hosts of hit true crime podcast RedHanded, delve into the notorious ‘Hinterkaifeck’ farm massacre; a truly disturbing case of incest, murder and mystery. For more info, click here.

Tunnel Rules

London & Continental Railways Limited (LCR), the landlord of Leake Street Arches and the managers of the Leake Street Tunnel, are keen to support the creative community working on Leake Street and ensure that other people in the local area continue to value the contribution that tunnel activities bring to the neighbourhood. These Tunnel Rules are designed to create an enjoyable experience for everyone.
